He asked. I acquiesced.

‘He’ is Jeff Ewing. The same man who owned and hosted one of the most-visited Anglo websites a couple of years ago. Jeff closed down the site, for various reasons that I shall not enumerate here, but he left a skeleton page with links to other Anglo sites, worldwide. An idea I ’stole’ and reproduced as my own QuickLinks panel that you see on the right.

One of this man’s talents is ‘making music’, and he has started recording his music as MP3 files. He has bestowed the title of “Dr J” on himself (but don’t hold that against him) and is a one-man-band who can churn out the music with a great deal of panache. He has the ability to produce sounds that are, for me at least, very reminiscent of standing around a piano singing old favourites with gusto, whilst a friend with the artistic skill would thump out the melody. On hearing a sample of his renditions, I was hooked.

I suggested that I could ’stream’ some of his music for the listening pleasure of my visitors, and Jeff has agreed that it would probably make a valuable showcase for his talents. So, if you would like to sample what is on offer, you can listen to a couple of his tunes on this site (sorry, site closed).
